Sales Success at Heesen: YN 21255 Project Angelica is Sold

Heesen Yachts is proud to announce the sale of YN 21255, Project Angelica, the newest addition to its acclaimed 55-metre Steel series. The deal was finalised on December 30th, capping the year on a further high note for the Dutch shipyard. The client, an experienced superyacht owner, has requested some modifications to tailor the vessel to his lifestyle, ensuring year-round enjoyment.

Bringing the owner’s vision to life will be a collaborative effort involving Heesen’s skilled specialists, the owner’s team, and the designers at Luca Dini. Together, they will personalise the yacht’s interior aesthetics to reflect the client’s unique preferences and create a truly one-of-a-kind superyacht.

Familiar with the Heesen brand and its 55-metre series, the client values the yacht’s expansive internal volume of 760 GT and its extensive customisation opportunities. The yacht’s interior spans nearly 400 square metres, offering ample room for both relaxation and socialising while also incorporating private sanctuaries. The layout accommodates up to twelve guests across seven luxurious staterooms.

Project Angelica’s engineering is as impressive as her aesthetics. Like her sister yachts, much of her beauty lies beneath the waterline. The sleek and highly efficient Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF), developed by Van Oossanen and engineered by Heesen’s in-house specialists, ensures reduced fuel consumption and exceptional comfort in challenging sea conditions. Powered by two MTU 8V4000 M63 IMO III engines, each delivering 1,000 kW, the yacht will reach a top speed of 15.5 knots and boasts a transatlantic range of 4,500 nautical miles when cruising at 13 knots.

Ruud van der Stroom, Chief Commercial Officer of Heesen Yachts, expressed his enthusiasm for the project: “I am delighted with this new contract and thoroughly enjoyed the sales process, which allowed us to work closely with a sophisticated client and his experienced team. Their vision for Project Angelica was both challenging and inspiring, engaging our design and engineering teams as they crafted innovative solutions to meet the client’s specific requirements.”

He continued: “The Heesen 55-metre series offers an exceptional platform for clients to express their individuality and achieve their ambitions. It combines striking exterior design, outstanding seaworthiness, and unmatched Dutch craftsmanship. The interior volumes are among the largest in their class, and the quality of workmanship is unparalleled. We are thrilled to welcome this client to the Heesen family and look forward to creating a superyacht that will be a remarkable addition to our fleet. Together, we will transform Project Angelica into a true reflection of its owner’s vision.”

YN 21255, Project Angelica, is scheduled for delivery in Q2 2027.
